Ok, everyone, listen up. Exotic Pets require a 51 point BM build, not only to train them, but to call them to your side as well.
What does this mean if you changed specs? It means you can no longer use this pet, until you change back into BM.

I am absolutely amazed how much I see this question come up.
Exotic pets are for Beast Master Hunters only. I know it made me sad when I changed from BM to MM, as I can no longer use my Spirit Beast pet. I am debating switching back to BM for every except raids, just so I can call her again.

With all the new gear (WoW Heroes Gear Score: 2383 [as of this posting]), covered with high enchants, I think it is time to start rethinking my BM / SV Specs. I tested out my SV spec and found that I actually lost DPS. I dropped from 2.5k all the way down to 1.1k O.O. I’m sure it was due to me not fully knowing the Shot Priority, but still, that’s a huge drop. I am thinking about going back to my MM Spec. With my gear I should be able to maintain closer to 3k+ DPS. Couple more of my Tier pieces and I should be able to start looking at 4k.

Changing out of BM requires me to drop my beloved Spirit Beast for a non-exotic pet. With this in mind I have decided to get a Wolf, as they are noted as being the top DPS pet. So I began looking at the Wolf family over on Petopia and I have decided to get the Sentry Worg (mostly because they change colors).

Unbreakable has been starting to move towards becoming a Casual RAIDing Guild. We actually have a few set nights for doing RAIDs, one for lower RAIDs (to help out our lower lvl guildies) and one for lvl 80 RAIDs. We also still do a few “spur of the moment” type RAIDs as well. We ran Gruul’s Lair last night. It was fun, once we figured out the best strategy for killing the 5 Ogre Bosses near the entrance. Gruul himself, was rather easy.

I am looking forward to more and more RAIDs, as well as finishing up the older content (before the next expansion hits), and getting better gear! I can’t wait to be able to start hitting Trial of the Crusader

Since I am seeing a lot of traffic through my blog based on searches for Gondria, I thought I would make a post about this beast, and see if I can help anyone else with the capture and/or hunting of her.

First, let me start with a link to HuntsmansLodge.com. Garwulf has posted a pretty good map and information in regards to Gondria and her spawn points. He has more information here.

As with any Rare, it is usually easiest to find them either right after a server reboot, or in the early hours of the morning (between 2am & 4am Server Time). I also use the _NPCScan Addon. This helped me greatly with finding Gondria!

What you have to remember is this: when you find her, watch out for her aggro. She will pounce on you from a distance and can do some pretty decent damage. The best tip I have found on this (and the one I used) is to set a [Freezing Trap], and stand in the middle of it, before you start the tame. Otherwise, she might jump right over it when she pounces you. Unfortunately, tamed pets cannot learn [Pounce], and therefore Gondria will lose this skill once tamed.

Also, since Gondria is an exotic beast you must have a 51+ BM spec to tame her. This is my (current) BM Build. And my pet’s current build. Between these two builds and my gear I get between 1.7k & 2.5k DPS, depending on the fight. I love this pet and I will probably keep my BM spec, in spite of the recent nerfs, just so I can continue to use her.

*EDIT: Since Gondria is a Spirit Beast, she is considered an Exotic Pet, and therefore not tamable in non BM Specs. If you have her tamed, and you switch out of BM spec, you will have to either stable or abandon her.

Shaunasey now has two looks! One for PvE/PvP and one for RAIDs.

I tamed Gondria, the Spirit Beast from Zul’Drak. This is the new look for PvE & PvP, while Shaunasey shall retain her White Tiger look for RAIDs, since I do not use BM Spec for these journeys, and therefore cannot use the Spirit Beast. I will get some pics soon.

I think it is finally time for me to move on from Eagle Globe And Anchor. I’m not getting/seeing what was expected when I joined the guild. I’m thinking that I will go guildless for a while. I have run a few dungeons with others guilds here and there, but I’m not sure any of them are up to the level I am looking for, yet. I have made a couple of friends, and I think I have made a decent impression on these guilds, since they do keep asking me back to run Instances with them. There is also talk of creating a new RAIDing Guild.

I need to start running the higher level Dungeons and RAIDs so I can get better gear to raise my DPS. I would like to get my DPS above 2.5k consistently. Right now I hover around 1.1-1.3k with spikes upwards of 4k. During most RAIDs I can maintain around 1.5-2.1k, especially on Boss fights. I’m at a point where I think my Talent tree is where it needs to be, but I need gear.

On a side note; I finally found Gondria and tamed her, so Shaunasey is getting a makeover
